So, I have some potatoes that I want to transform into FRENCH FRIES. Now, I don’t have a deep fryer, so it has to be an oven recipe. I want it to be crispy, without too much seasoning. Is there a trick to make them crispier? Like putting them in sugar water or in the refrigerator or what? HELP!

I never had a deep frier when growing up so used a cast iron skillet and put a few FFs in at a time so the had room to cook all around. Flip them over to cook on other side. You need only 1/4 inch of oil in the skillet. Get it hot enough so if you flip one drop of water in it sizzles right off. that prevents the pots from absorbing the oil. You will use about 1/4 teaspoon to cook up a huge platter of potatoes doing them that way.

sprinkle seasoned salt or seasoned pepper on them after removing from the oil to paper toweling to drain completely.
